They utilize various diagnostic tests and procedures, such as imaging studies (such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI), physical examinations, and orthopaedic assessments, to evaluate and treat patients. Orthopaedic surgeons may prescribe medications, recommend physical therapy, perform surgical procedures (such as joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery), and provide orthotic devices (such as braces and splints) to improve patients' musculoskeletal function and mobility.
